The Kaduna State Government has officially opened applications for the 2025 Data Science Fellowship Program, a fully paid, practical opportunity for young talents to gain real-world experience in data science and analytics.
Program Overview
The Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship is designed to equip participants with in-demand data science skills while contributing to real-life development planning and public policy projects. The program is part of the Kaduna State Data Lab Project, a collaboration between:
* Kaduna State Government
* Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
* Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation
This 6-month fully paid internship will train and engage fellows in the use of data for evidence-based decision-making, particularly in the health sector.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship 2025, applicants must:
* Be 18–35 years old (exceptions may be considered)
* Be a resident in Kaduna State
* Be a graduate of a tertiary institution in a STEM field such as:
Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Physical Sciences, Health Sciences
* Undergraduate STEM students on 6-month or 1-year internships are also encouraged to apply
Required Competencies:
* Basic computer skills
* Foundational knowledge of data usage & Microsoft Excel
* Problem-solving ability
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal English)
Note: A 50% gender balance will be maintained during the selection process.

How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply:
1. Fill out and submit the online application form.
2. Receive an activation email after submitting your form.
3. Activate your profile by clicking the activation link in the email.
4. Set up your account by creating a password and logging in.
5. Write a short essay (max. 250 words) on why you should be selected, and upload a valid ID (Voter’s Card, National ID, Driver’s License, or International Passport – image in `.jpg` format).
6. Submit a 2-minute video if invited via email. The video should highlight what makes you stand out and why you’re a good fit.
7. Receive a confirmation email regarding your application status.
8. Take a Computer-Based Test (CBT) if shortlisted. Those who score above average will proceed to the final stage.
9. Attend a one-on-one interview with the selection panel.
10. Join the Fifth Cohort of the Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship Program.
