Scholarship Overview
The DAAD Study Scholarships in Architecture are designed for students wishing to pursue:
1. A Master’s/postgraduate degree leading to a final qualification, or
2. A complementary course that does not lead to a final qualification
(Note: This is not for undergraduate courses)
These programs must be at a state or state-recognized German university of your choice.
Additionally, the scholarship promotes international exchange and networking among architectural professionals.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the DAAD Scholarship in Architecture, applicants must:
1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields by the time the funded program begins:
- Architecture
- Interior Design
- Monument Conservation
- Building in Existing Contexts / Reconditioning of Old Buildings
- Urban Planning / Urban Development
- Landscape Architecture
- Landscape Planning
2. Show strong motivation and commitment
3. Demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction
* Note: No funding is provided for Master’s programs already started in Germany.
