Applications are now open for the 5th cohort of the Erasmus Mundus PROMISE Scholarship for international students seeking to pursue a master’s degree in Europe! The Erasmus Mundus PROMISE Scholarship is a fully funded joint master’s degree program sponsored by the European Union, covering tuition fees, travel costs, and providing a €1,400 monthly living allowance for a duration of 24 months.
About the Erasmus Mundus PROMISE Program
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Sustainable Mineral and Metal Processing Engineering (EMJM PROMISE) was established to meet the growing global demand for minerals, metals, and materials, driven by the shift toward renewable energy, electromobility, digital communication, and clean-energy technologies.
The PROMISE consortium includes four leading universities in mineral processing and mining engineering:
* University of Oulu (UOULU), Finland
* University of Zagreb (UNIZG), Croatia
* Montanuniversität Leoben (MUL), Austria
* Universidad Federico Santa María (USM), Chile
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Sustainable Mineral and Metal Processing Engineering, applicants must:
1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related fields:
- Mineral Processing
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering
- Earth Resources Engineering
- Mining and Mineral Engineering
- Geological Engineering
- Raw Materials and Process Engineering
- Materials and Rock Waste Treatment Engineering
2. Have completed compulsory courses in Mathematics and either Chemistry or Physics: Applications missing these subjects on their transcript will not be considered.
3. English Language Requirements: Applicants must provide an English Language Proficiency Certificate.
Note:
1. Even if your previous education was in English, a certificate is still required.
2. Only certificates from the officially listed qualifying options will be accepted (no exceptions).

Required Application Documents
Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents (in English, certified or legalized where necessary):
1. Certified copy of Bachelor’s Degree Diploma (translated into English)
2. Certified Transcript of Records (translated into English) showing subjects, grades, and credits
3. Proof of Nationality (passport or national ID)
4. Motivation Letter (maximum 1 page) explaining why you should be selected
5. Recommendation Letters – one mandatory, one optional
6. English Proficiency Certificate (as per eligibility requirements)
7. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in Europass format (with photo)
8. (Optional) Certificate of training in entrepreneurship
