Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Yokohama National University (YNU) MEXT Scholarship, applicants must:
* Be a citizen of a country designated by MEXT.
* Have a minimum CGPA of 2.30 or higher on a 3.00 scale.
* Be recommended by a YNU partner university, an associated university, or YNU itself.
* Provide proof of English or Japanese language proficiency.
* Obtain a Conditional Acceptance Form from a YNU academic advisor.

How to Apply

4. Contact the faculty member to discuss your research and obtain a Conditional Acceptance Form.
5. Submit your completed application through the online portal during the application period: 22 December 2025 – 7 January 2026.
Successful candidates will arrive in Japan by the end of September 2025 to commence their studies.
