The Government of Mauritius invites applications from deserving students who are resident citizens of African Union or African Commonwealth member states for the Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme for the 2026 academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have already applied for a full-time, on-campus program (Diploma, Degree, MPhil, or PhD) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius.
* For undergraduate programmes, applicants must be above 18 years old and not have reached their 26th birthday by 1 January 2027.
* The scholarship will be offered for a maximum duration as indicated below, or the minimum course duration, whichever is lesser.

The scholarship will cover:
* Tuition fees
* Living expenses during the study period in Mauritius
* Return airfare by the most economical route (from the applicant’s home country at the start of the studies and back upon successful completion)
Application Procedure
* Applications must be completed electronically before printing the application form.
* Submissions can only be made through the Nominating Agency responsible for processing scholarships in the applicant’s country of citizenship (usually part of the Ministry of Education).
* Section 5 of the application form must be endorsed and completed by the Nominating Agency.
* Each Nominating Agency may shortlist and endorse up to 15 eligible candidates, deciding the mix of undergraduate and postgraduate nominees.
