The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is the development arm of the United Nations, working in over 170 countries with more than 17,000 staff. UNDP tackles some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including poverty eradication, climate change, renewable energy, good governance, crisis prevention, and women’s empowerment.
The Information and Technology Management (ITM) Unit in Copenhagen, Denmark, supports UNDP Country Offices globally with ICT and Green Energy solutions.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the UNDP Global Internship 2026, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
* Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
* Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (undergraduate; minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
* Have recently graduated with a university degree (bachelor’s or higher) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Interest or experience in one of the workstream areas is highly desirable.
Internship Duration and Benefits
Duration: 6 months (February 2 – July 31, 2026)
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Monthly Stipend: Approximately $1,000 USD (varies by duty station)
Payment Frequency: Monthly
Part-time Options: Available (stipend prorated accordingly)
Required Competencies
Core Competencies:
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Strong problem-solving ability
* Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams
Desired Skills:
* Strong IT proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, etc.)
* Fluency in English (knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset)
* Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or InDesign is an advantage
