The University of Manchester, United Kingdom (UK), is accepting applications for the 2026 Global Futures Scholarships. Open to both undergraduate and master’s students, the program has a total value of over £4.5 million and will provide 300+ awards to international students commencing their studies in September 2026.

The Global Futures Scholarship positions scholars to contribute to solving global challenges such as poverty eradication, social justice, environmental change, and sustainable urbanism.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
* Be international fee-paying students domiciled in: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, or South Africa.
* Have resided predominantly in one of these countries for the last 3 years.
* Be self-funded (not sponsored).
* Select the University of Manchester as FIRM UCAS choice (undergraduates) by 25 May 2026.
* Apply for a full-time, on-campus program (blended or distance learning are not eligible).
* Not have previously studied in the UK.
* Not apply to the following courses:
- Medicine (MBChB), Dentistry (BDS)
- Architecture
- or courses with an integrated foundation year (for undergraduates).
- MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), MA in Architecture & Urbanism, MLA, PGCE, Clinical Medicine, or Dentistry (for master’s).
Undergraduate Applicants
* Must apply for direct first-year entry in 2026.
* Must have, or be working towards:
* A-levels
* IB Diploma
* South African NSC or IEB
* NCUK International Foundation Year
Master’s Applicants
* Must hold an unconditional offer for a full-time program beginning September 2026.
* Must submit an online scholarship application form by 23 April 2026.
* Application forms will only be sent to eligible offer-holders starting December 2025.
Scholarship Value & Duration
Undergraduate Awards
* Over 100 scholarships available.
* Each worth £30,000 (distributed as £10,000 per year over 3 years).
* Award given as a tuition fee discount, conditional on achieving a 60% average each year.
Master’s Awards
* Over 200 scholarships available.
* Each worth up to £18,000, awarded as a tuition fee discount.
* Based on academic excellence and the quality of application responses.

How to Apply
For Undergraduates
1. Apply for admission to an eligible undergraduate program.
2. Select University of Manchester as FIRM UCAS choice by 25 May 2026.
3. Eligible applicants will receive the scholarship application form automatically (emailed after offer).
4. Scholarship offers will be made by 18 May 2026, conditional on academic performance.
For Master’s Applicants
1. Apply for admission to a full-time on-campus master’s program.
2. Obtain an unconditional offer.
3. Submit the online scholarship application form (emailed to offer-holders).
4. Deadline to apply: 23 April 2026.
5. Successful applicants will be notified by 29 May 2026.
