The Ajesola Solarin Majekodunmi Foundation (ASMAF) Scholarship is a financial aid program designed to support female indigent Nigerian undergraduates in pursuing professional courses at public universities in Nigeria. The scholarship covers tuition, board, and upkeep for up to 6 years (depending on the course and year of award). In addition to financial support, ASMAF Scholars benefit from life skills training, leadership development, mentoring, and access to resources that promote academic excellence and lifelong learning.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
1. Be female, indigent, and a Nigerian citizen embarking on tertiary education for the first time.
2. Have gained admission or be enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate program in a public Nigerian university.
3. Be studying a professional course such as Medicine, Law, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Accountancy, or Architecture.
4. Meet ASMAF’s financial needs and academic requirements.
5. Show commitment to academic and professional excellence with strong leadership potential.
Required Documents
* Letter of admission from JAMB
* Evidence of credit passes in required subjects (GCE, NECO, WASC, or equivalent)
* Evidence of success in post-UTME/interview (if applicable)
* Proof of appropriate academic record
Application Process
1. Complete the online application form via the scholarship website
2. Submit all required documents before the deadline.
3. Ensure recommenders review eligibility requirements (relatives cannot be recommenders).
4. Only complete applications submitted on time will be considered.
