The Oregon Institute of Technology is offering a Graduate Teaching Assistantship opportunity for students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in the United States. This scholarship includes a $10,000 annual stipend and $7,000 in tuition remission for qualified and selected applicants.

Scholarship Details

Dr. Christy VanRooyen of the Oregon Institute of Technology is recruiting a Master’s student with a strong interest in pollinator ecology.

The selected student will:

* Study how pollinator diversity, abundance, and floral resource use respond to wetland restorations

* Collaborate with partner agencies and private landowners

* Monitor pollinators based on the National Protocol Framework for the Inventory and Monitoring of Bees and the Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program

* Provide insights that guide land management practices in the eastern Cascade ecoregion

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must:

* Hold a degree in ecology, entomology, biology, or a related field

* Have experience with data analysis using GIS and/or R

* Possess field research experience

* Demonstrate excellent English writing and verbal communication skills

* Be capable of working independently and leading a research team
