Application for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarships is now open for interested and qualified female candidates from around the world. The $20,000 Women in Finance Scholarship is aimed at encouraging and supporting talented women in the field of finance, particularly those pursuing careers through graduate-level studies.
The FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship is designed to support outstanding women pursuing careers in:
* Financial Asset Management
* Market Risk Management
* Derivatives Finance within the Capital Markets
Launched in 2014 and continued after the 2023 acquisition of FINCAD by Numerix, the scholarship is based in Vancouver, Canada. FINCAD’s mission is to simplify derivatives finance with the analytics needed to manage exposures, calculate fair values, and size trades effectively.

2025 FINCAD Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
* Be female and enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Finance on a full-time basis
* Have started studies no earlier than January 1, 2025 and no later than February 1, 2026
* Have no more than 10 years of total work experience, and less no less than 5 years of professional financial experience
* Be studying at an accredited university in any country
Scholarship Benefits and Duration
* One-time award of US $20,000
- 50% paid directly to the recipient
- 50% paid to the institution to cover tuition
* FINCADians also receive two paid volunteer days per year
* FINCAD HOPE facilitates volunteer project matching with company talents
