This fully funded scholarship covers:

* Living expenses of £16,536 per year
About the Scholarship
Cranfield University, as one of the participating institutions of the 2026 Commonwealth Masters Scholarship, is pleased to invite applications from interested candidates.
Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable development. These scholarships are specifically targeted at those who would otherwise be unable to afford postgraduate study in the UK.
They are open to candidates from eligible low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries to pursue full-time taught Master’s programs at a UK university.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Cranfield Commonwealth Masters Scholarship, applicants must:
* Be a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
* Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
* Be available to start studies in the UK by the start of the academic year (September/October 2026)
* Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship

Benefits of the Scholarship
The Commonwealth Masters Scholarship covers:
* Airfare: Approved return flights between your home country and the UK
* Tuition fees: Full coverage (by agreement between CSC and the UK university)
* Living stipend: £1,378 per month (2025–2026 rate)
* Warm clothing allowance (where applicable)
* Study travel grant: For study-related travel in the UK or overseas
* Child allowance:
- £590 per month for the first child
- £146 per month for the second and third child (under 16 years, living with the scholar in the UK)
Disability support: Tailored financial support following a full needs assessment
How to Apply
Interested and qualified candidates should:
1. Apply via the Cranfield University Scholarship Website
2. Apply to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC)
3. Apply to a Nominating Body
You must apply to one of the following:
* National nominating agencies (main route of application)
* Selected non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and charitable bodies
Note: The CSC does not accept direct applications.
* Each nominator manages its own selection process and may set additional eligibility rules and deadlines.
* Applicants must check with their chosen nominator for specific requirements.
* Being nominated does not guarantee selection.
Outcome Notification: Applicants can expect to hear results by July 2026 (via the Commonwealth website).
