Traineeship Tracks
The European Commission offers two types of Blue Book Traineeships:
1. Administrative Traineeship
2. Translation Traineeship (with the Directorate-General for Translation – DGT)

This traineeship is open to all eligible candidates, regardless of:

Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the Blue Book Traineeship Program 2026, applicants must:
* Have completed a 3-year higher education degree (EQF level 6 or equivalent and must provide a certificate or official confirmation from your university.
* Must not have any work experience exceeding 6 weeks in:
- EU institutions, bodies, or agencies
- European Parliament (MEPs)
- Court of Justice of the EU
Language Requirements:
For Administrative Traineeship: Very good knowledge of two EU official languages
- One must be English, French, or German (C1 or C2 level)
- The second must be at least B2 level
For Non-EU Nationals: Only one EU working language (English, French, or German) at C1 or C2 level
For Translation Traineeship: Must translate into your main language (usually mother tongue), from two EU languages:
- First source language: English, French, or German
- Second source language: Any EU language (minimum B2 level)
