Program Summary

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the AfDB Young Professionals Program 2026, applicants must:

* Be a citizen of a member country of the Bank.

* Be 32 years old or younger by November 30, 2025.

* Hold a Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to the Bank’s business, with outstanding academic credentials.

* Have at least 3 years of post-graduate work experience related to the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy and Four Cardinal Points.

* Show hands-on experience in Africa or other developing regions.

* Demonstrate passion for Africa’s development and the ability to work effectively in teams.

* Possess strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

* Have excellent analytical, entrepreneurial, and problem-solving abilities.

* Communicate effectively in English or French (knowledge of both is an advantage).

* Be willing to live and work in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, or any other country where the Bank operates.

* Be proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.

* Be willing to travel across the continent when required.
