York University in Canada is accepting applications for the Presidential International Scholarship of Excellence for international undergraduate students. The scholarship is valued at $180,000 (awarded as $45,000 per year) over four years of undergraduate study. It is renewable each year if the student maintains good academic standing. Recipients will be referred to as President’s International Scholars and will represent diverse regions worldwide.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
1. Be an international student requiring a Study Permit to study in Canada.
2. Have applied to an undergraduate program at York University beginning Spring 2026.
3. Apply directly from high school (no more than two years after graduation) with no previous university or college studies (not applicable to Tentanda Via Award).
4. Have a minimum “A” average (80% final admission average or equivalent).
5. Demonstrate leadership skills through community service, arts, sports, or other achievements.
6. Upload one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents.
7. Ensure all required documents are marked as “Received” in the York application system (MyFile) by November 1, 2025 – 11:59 PM ET.
8. Complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by the same deadline.
9. (Optional) Financial need may be considered during selection.

Applicants not selected for the President’s International Scholarship of Excellence will be considered for other York University entrance scholarships.
