About the Program
The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), offers fully funded online graduate certificate programs. These flexible, self-paced programs are designed to help young African professionals build in-demand skills in Global Management or Supply Chain Management. Upon completion, participants automatically enter the selection pool for fully-funded online master’s degrees at ASU.
Available Certificate Programs
1. Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Offered by the Thunderbird School of Global Management
Focus: Leadership, cross-cultural management, ethical decision-making, sustainable development, and international business strategy
Duration: 10 months
2. Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management. Offered by the W. P. Carey School of Business
Focus: Logistics, operations, procurement, sustainable supply chain design
Duration: 4 months

Program Format
Asynchronous Online Learning: Learn at your own pace
Occasional live sessions or group discussions (optional but recommended)
Eligibility Criteria
1. To apply, you must:
2. Be a citizen of an African country
3. Be aged 18–33 by the application deadline
4. Have earned an undergraduate degree by July 2025
5. Show academic excellence, financial need, and a track record of leadership and service
6. Not have started or completed any graduate/master’s degree before August 2025
